Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Handld application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. Your continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of any updates to these Terms.

2. Service Description

Handld is an AI-powered phone call service that places calls to businesses on your behalf. You select a business category, provide a business name and phone number, and choose a question from our pre-built list. Our AI assistant calls the business in their language, records and transcribes the conversation, and delivers a translated answer summary to you via push notification. The App currently supports English, Polish, Spanish, French, German, Italian, and Portuguese.

3. Free Calls

Handld provides 5 free calls per week. Your call allowance resets automatically every 7 days. There are no in-app purchases or subscriptions at this time. We reserve the right to modify the free call allowance or introduce paid plans in the future, with reasonable notice.

4. Your Account

You must create an account to use Handld via email, Apple Sign-In, or Google Sign-In. Each person may hold only one account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Handld only to contact real businesses with legitimate questions. You may not use the App to: make calls to emergency services (112, 911, 999, or similar); call premium-rate or toll numbers; harass, spam, or abuse any person or business; attempt to circumvent call limits or abuse promotional offers; impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity; or use the service for any illegal purpose.

6. Call Recording & AI Processing

All calls made through Handld are recorded and transcribed using AI technology (ElevenLabs for voice, OpenAI for transcription and translation). Recordings and transcripts are stored securely on our servers and used to: provide you with answer summaries and translations; maintain your call history; improve service quality; and resolve disputes. By using the App, you consent to the recording and AI processing of all call data. You are responsible for ensuring that recording calls complies with applicable laws in your jurisdiction and the jurisdiction of the business being called.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and technology in the Handld App are the property of Handld and its licensors. You retain ownership of any personal data you provide. The AI-generated transcripts, summaries, and translations provided to you are licensed for your personal use only. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the App.

8. Limitation of Liability

Handld provides AI-generated summaries and translations of phone conversations. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any answer, transcript, or translation. AI may misinterpret, mistranslate, or omit information. You should not make important decisions based solely on information obtained through the App. Handld is not liable for any damages arising from your use of or reliance on the service, including but not limited to inaccurate information, failed calls, or service interruptions.

9. Termination & Account Deletion

You may stop using Handld and request account deletion at any time from the Profile screen. Account deletion is scheduled with a 30-day grace period, during which you can cancel the request. After 30 days, your personal data, call recordings, and transcripts will be permanently removed. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in abusive behaviour, or used the service in a way that could harm Handld or its users.

10. Changes & Contact
